Terms of service
These terms are an agreement between ViewFerry and the organization that uses ViewFerry, and the people it invites. By signing in or connecting a screen, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and your organization.
The service
ViewFerry lets organizations manage digital signage: upload content, build layouts and schedules, publish them to their screens, connect outside services such as Google, and follow what each screen played. We may add, change or remove features over time. ViewFerry is currently offered to a limited group of organizations as a pilot; features may change more often and the service may be unavailable at times.
Accounts and organizations
- Access is by invitation. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us at support@viewferry.com if you think someone else has used it.
- Owners control their organization: who is on the team, their roles, the screens and the accounts connected to it. The organization is responsible for what its team does in ViewFerry.
- You must be able to agree to these terms for your organization, and at least 16 years old.
Your content
Your organization keeps all rights to the content it uploads or creates. You give us permission to store, process, copy and deliver it only as needed to provide ViewFerry to you, for example converting a video so screens can play it. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you show, including music, images, video, fonts and other people's names or likenesses.
Acceptable use
Do not use ViewFerry to:
- show or distribute content that is illegal, infringes someone's rights, or is harassing, hateful, sexually explicit or deceptive;
- try to get into another organization's data, a screen you do not control, or parts of the service you are not allowed to use;
- disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or get around its limits or security;
- collect other people's personal information without the right to do so.
We may remove content or suspend access that breaks these rules or puts others at risk. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
Connected services
Some features use services from other companies, under their own terms, which you agree to when you use those features:
- YouTube features use YouTube API Services and are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Business Profile and Google Maps reviews are subject to Google's Terms of Service and the Google Maps terms.
- The layout assistant sends requests to OpenAI.
Those services can change or stop working, and when they do, the features that depend on them may too. You can disconnect a connected account at any time. Our privacy policy explains what we read from them and how we protect it.
Screens and hardware
You provide and look after your screens, players and internet connection. ViewFerry tries to keep content playing when a screen goes offline, but playback depends on hardware and networks we do not control, so do not rely on ViewFerry alone for safety or emergency information.
Fees
Pilot organizations use ViewFerry within the capacity shown in the app, without charge. Before we charge for ViewFerry, we will publish prices and ask for your agreement; you are never charged without it.
Ending
You can stop using ViewFerry at any time; ask us and we will delete your organization's data as described in the privacy policy. We may end or suspend access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or end the pilot with at least 30 days' notice, during which you can download your content.
Disclaimers and liability
ViewFerry is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or content that did not play. Our total liability for any claim about ViewFerry is limited to the amount your organization paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if it paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and tell organization owners about significant changes before they take effect. If you keep using ViewFerry after that, the new terms apply.
